I don’t think we can call what Safari 4.0 gives a progress bar. It is rather a “busy indicator”. A progress bar should say how much it has progressed/how much is left. I really liked the way how Safari 3.0 utilised space before by using address bar as the progress bar. It is gone now

No, but I did not try either. I am happy with Safari’s progress bar.

Nice tip Bernhard.

Did you find a way to bring back the blue progress bar in Safari 4.0. The hack that worked in Safari 4.0 doesn’t seem to work anymore.
